On May 3, the Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan stated in an interview with journalists, referring to his statement to the law enforcement agencies about possible violations in the SCS (State Control Service) of Armenia, in connection with the purchase of hemodialysis equipment.
He noted that he was involved in the legal process in this case, and only outlined the information known to him on the case. The Minister stressed that these testimonies are not "against" and not "for" someone, but merely a dry statement of facts. "I don't have complete information on this case, and I don't have to own it. Moreover, there is a secret of the preliminary investigation, which is not subject to publicity," said Torosyan.
Torosyan also noted that he is on good terms with Sanasaryan, while stressing that truth is more precious to him.
To note, head of the State Control Service, David Sanasaryan, was charged under 308 (Abuse of office - Ed. note) As stated in the official message of the National Security Service, on April 18, the investigator approved the prosecutor to temporarily remove Sanasaryan from his post, as was announced by the RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
To note, we are talking about abuses that occurred during the tender for the supply of dialysis equipment to medical institutions, in which employees of the State Control Service are also involved. One of them is arrested. According to media reports, he was the one who testified against Sanasaryan.
