ArmInfo. The Fanarjyan Oncology Center and the Scientific Center for Radiation Medicine and Burns should not be privatized and transferred to individuals, taking into account their specificity.
On May 3, during a meeting of the standing parliamentary health commission, during the discussion of amendments and additions to the law on the "State Property Privatization Program for 2017- 2020," Health care Minister Arsen Torosyan stated.
He noted that these medical centers are of particular importance for the state. The Minister positively assessed the financial condition of the National Center of Oncology, stressing that the latter successfully cooperates with the private sector. "This center provides both free and paid services," said Torosyan, stressing also the increase in budget revenues for the treatment of oncological diseases.
Meanwhile, according to him, the Scientific Center of Radiation Medicine and Burns has major debts. Torosyan noted that the center practically does not provide paid services, however, according to the minister, this issue will be resolved in the future. According to Torosyan, within two years it is planned to reduce to nil all the debts of the center.
