ArmInfo. The number of administrative use cars of the Armenian Market Monitoring Inspectorate will be reduced. The decision was taken at the May 2 meeting of the RA government.
According to the substantiation of the draft decision, it is envisaged to remove 2 cars from the balance sheet of the agency, transferring them to the balance sheet of the State Property Management Committee under the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments of the Republic of Armenia and their subsequent alienation. In particular, the matter concerns 2006 Hyundai Sonata cars with an inventory value of 9.5 million drams and 2006 VAZ-21214 cars with an inventory value of 3.63 million drams. Thus, three cars of the brand Toyota - Camry of 2010, worth 12 million drams, and two "Toyota-Corolla" of 2010 with an inventory value of 10 million drams will remain on the balance sheet of the Monitoring Body. With a decrease in the number of cars, the costs on their operation will also decrease. In general, in 2019 it is planned to reduce the number of cars servicing the government office. At the moment 50 cars are on administrative use of the office, there will remain only 7. At the moment, two deputy prime ministers, the head of the staff, the secretary of the Security Council, deputy heads of staff, heads of departments, heads of offices under the government staff, advisers and some assistants to the head of the government use administrative cars with drivers. As a result of the changes, only two deputy prime ministers and Security Council Secretary will use the service vehicles.
Earlier, parliament speaker Ararat Mirzoyan said that the parliament will also cut spending and the fleet.
The number of cars financed from the budget was last reduced by 107 units in 2016, and in non- governmental organizations under the state agencies, closed joint-stock companies and funds, the fleet decreased by 690 units.
