ArmInfo.Yesterday the National Olympic Committee (NOC - Ed. note,) of Armenia issued a statement in which it was noted that the company "Lernatur", which operated the cableway in Tsakhkadzor, caused extensive damage to the Olympic Committee of Armenia during its activities. The MP from the "Prosperous Armenia" party, press secretary of Gagik Tsarukyan Iveta Tonoyan said this in an interview with ArmInfo correspondent.
She noted that the National Olympic Committee will take all legal measures to restore possible damage to the NOC. "Back in 2017, the NOC conducted a large-scale audit and revealed numerous violations and abuses. After that, the director of the company was dismissed. Now the new director works there. Of course, it becomes obvious that the National Olympic Committee is in no way associated with these violations. "Lernathur" company is guilty in all this, "Tonoyan stressed.
At the same time, Tonoyan noted that with all the authorities of Armenia, the checks in the business of the PAP leader, honorary chairman of the NOC Gagik Tsarukyan become logical, as soon as he and members of the party he leads criticize the authorities. "Recently, checks have intensified after Tsarukyan criticized the government for incompetence. It is obvious that all these processes can be interrelated," Tonoyan stressed.
To note, on April 29, the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia issued a statement that as a result of non- payment of taxes during the operation of the cableway in Tsakhkadzor, the state suffered damage in the amount of more than 476 million drams (over 980 thousand dollars). In fact a criminal case opened. In 2005, the NOC transferred the cableway to the trust management, first one and then from 2008 to the present - to another limited liability company. These companies in the 2005-2017 presented a turnover totaling about 496 million drams, meanwhile, only in 2018 the turnover of the cableway was 537 million drams or 40 million drams more than in the past 12 years combined.
