According to the already established tradition, on April 24, memorable events dedicated to the 104th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide were held in all parts of the world.The exception was not Lebanon, where a sufficiently large Armenian community.
The events organized in Beirut caused Ankara's negative reaction. Thus, the Turkish ambassador to Beirut, Hakan Chakyl, demanded from the authoritiesLebanon to bring to justice the participants of anti-Turkish actions organized in this country on April 24. Ankara freaked out that the Turkish flag was burned at the memorable events. In this regard, the head of the Turkish diplomatic mission sent a message to the Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Al-Hariri.In addition, the ambassador stressed the need for urgent legal measures against the organizers and participants of "provoking and suppressing in the future manifestations of disrespect for the Turkish flag."
