ArmInfo. Romanos Petrosyan, governor of Kotayk region, is going to submit to the government's approval a package of proposals aimed at revising the decision of 2004, according to which the cableway in Tsakhkadzor was transferred to the management of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Armenia headed by the leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party (PPA) Gagik Tsarukyan.
This was announced at a meeting with journalists on April 29 by Romanos Petrosyan. According to him, he made this decision today - after reading the official statement of the General Prosecutor's Office. The cable car of Tsakhkadzor, according to the governor, can be transferred from the management of the NOC to another department, because one cannot be so careless about the property complex capable of generating huge incomes. As Petrosyan recalled, the cable car back in 2004, on behalf of the state, was donated to the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Armenia free of charge and indefinitely. Recall that as a result of non-payment of taxes during the operation of the cable car in Tsakhkadzor, the state suffered damage in the amount of more than 476 million drams (over 980 thousand dollars).
According to the General Prosecutor's Office, a criminal case was opened. In 2005, the NOC transferred the cableway to the trust management, first one and then from 2008 to the present - to another limited liability company. These companies in the years 2005-2017. presented a turnover totaling about 496 million drams, meanwhile, only in 2018 the turnover of the cableway was 537 million drams or 40 million drams more than in the past 12 years combined.
