ArmInfo.The Caucasus Nature Fund (CNF) carried out the first in 2019 transfers of about 330 thousand euros, in particular for the protection and efficient management of the Khosrov Forest state reserve (110 thousand euros), the Zangezur biosphere complex (92 thousand euros), national parks (87 thousand euros) and < Arpi Lake > (40 thousand euros).
Joint financing with the Ministry of Nature Protection of the Republic of Armenia is aimed at raising the salaries of employees of protected areas, the acquisition of equipment and reserve, the introduction of innovative technologies, such as unmanned vehicles and modern monitoring systems that will improve the protection and effective management of protected areas.
The second transfer is scheduled for July of this year, about the same amount.
To note, CNF, with 10 years of experience in Armenia, continues to contribute to specially protected areas to ensure the preservation of the country's unique biodiversity.
