ArmInfo. A criminal case has been opened into the use of torture and murder through negligence in the Police.
According to the RA Prosecutor General's Office, on April 14, 2019 in the Nor-Nork Department of the RA Police, the citizen reported that the police, using violence, brought the Nor-Nork Department of his son, Yerevan resident Edgar Tsatinyan, where he was subjected to violence, then, for fear of not being criminally liable, swallowed the drug deliberately thrown into his pocket by the police.
As a result, bearing in mind that the message apparently contains corpus delicti on negligence resulting in grave consequences (death), putative committed by a group of officials engaged in public service in the RA Police, by decision of investigator SIS RA, a criminal case was opened under paragraphs 4 and 7 of part 2 articles 309.1 of the RA Criminal Code.
Earlier, an open letter appeared on the network of Tsatinyan's relatives, which stated that the police <tried to beat him up by killing an 80-year-old woman, assuming that Tsatinyan had been tried several times before. <Not accepting Edgar's refusal to fulfill their request, the police threw a drug into his pocket. Out of fear, he was convicted of illegal possession of the drug, Edgar swallowed the package, as a result of which his health condition deteriorated, he was taken to hospital, where, however, he was not rescued, "the letter said.
The police, however, denied this message, stating that no violence was used against Tsatinyan, and his condition worsened as a result of a drug overdose.
