ArmInfo. Head of the State Control Service of Armenia David Sanasaryan, during a meeting with residents of the village of Zartonk, Armavir region, said that violations revealed in the activities of the head of the rural community will be sent to the prosecutor's office on Monday.
According to him, the police are also dealing with an incident that occurred this morning. However, he assured that all issues are in the focus of relevant structures. "You should not demand from the police the resignation of the head of the village. You should not demand from us carry out control over the activities of the police. Each structure should perform its own functions," Sanasaryan said. At the same time, he expressed the hope that the head of the Zartonk village himself would draw the appropriate conclusions and make the right decision in connection with the situation. He also agreed that no one has the right to restrict the rights of children to attend educational institutions. In turn, villagers complained about police inaction during the shooting. According to them, the police have not responded to their complaints for three months and are not taking the necessary measures to resolve this issue.
Sanasaryan, in turn, called on the residents of the village of Zartonk to refrain from emotions, soberly assess the situation and not to succumb to provocations. "Now, we need to calm down. And we are trying together to understand how to resolve this issue. All questions should receive a legal solution," he said. The head of the State Control Service announced that it was planned to pass a law in the National Assembly, which would make it possible to recall one or another head of the structure in the event of force majeure situations.
The villagers went to the courtyard of the village council and plan to wait for the resignation of the head of the village. They chant "Go away!".
