ArmInfo.Armenia does not seek to change the format of the Karabakh talks, this is not its goal, and in this it has no interest. This was stated on April 11 by the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, answering the question of the Turkish delegate Aydin Kamil.
He stressed that Armenia only wants to return to the initial format of the negotiations, in which Karabakh also participated: <I can't remember a specific year now, but I assume that in 1994, 1995, 1996 President of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev met with President of Nagorno-Karabakh Robert Kocharyan in Moscow.
That is, not only there were three co-chairs, but also representatives of three sides of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh took part. ""We don't raise the issue of format change, but the Nagorno-Karabakh problem cannot be resolved without Nagorno-Karabakh," Pashinyan said, noting that some people first tried to qualify it as a non-constructive position, but just the opposite.
Speaking about the use of the term "occupation" by Azerbaijan, Pashinyan noted that those people who live in Karabakh were born there, their grandfathers lived in there, the grandfathers of their grandfathers lived in Karabakh.<Our proposal is to sit down at the table, discuss all the nuances of the conflict, agree that we are not talking about the unresolved issue, but about resolving the issue, agreeing that our agenda is an agenda not of destroying each other, but of resolving issues as befits people 21 century, as befits the two countries - CE members. I want this conversation between governments, societies, youth to begin and take place, because our agenda is a peace agenda, "the Armenian Prime Minister said.
