ArmInfo. It is necessary to respect the rights of people and not to constantly remember our quarrel. Armenian Minister of Justice Artak Zeynalyan said this on April 10 in an interview with journalists about whether he really wanted to visit the second president Robert Kocharyan in the penitentiary institution and was refused.
"I am the Minister of Justice, and the penitentiary institution is under my jurisdiction. I am responsible for the policy in this area, I go to the correctional institutions, I visit the prisoners. During the visits I am not alone, meanwhile Robert Kocharyan is sitting in the cell alone, and we are in unequal conditions with this person. It is necessary to respect the rights of this person and not to constantly stir up this dispute. We can present witnesses to confirm our point of view, he cannot do this, and that is why there is no need to constantly fiddle with this topic, it is better to respect human rights, " the minister concluded.
