This was stated on April 9 by  journalists from the Prosperous Armenia faction Vardan Ghukasyan.He  noted that in Armenia in the first place are national, traditional  values. Ghukasyan also said: "For as long as I can remember, we never  encouraged such people, and if it seems to you that you can introduce  similar European values in Armenia, you are mistaken. Europe is dying out, there are  demographic problems, do you really want the same thing to happen in  Armenia? ", Ghukasyan asked.The deputy noted that Armenia is turning  into Sodom and Gomorrah. "These cities have incurred the wrath of the  Lord, do you want the same? I know one thing, such people need to be  isolated from society," Ghukasyan stressed.He also disagreed with the  statement of the Prime Minister about the need to change a member of  the PAP Naira Zohrabyan from the post of head of the standing  commission on human rights, since she after speaking in  parliamentTransgender Lilit Martirosyan sharply asked her from the  audience. 

"Naira Zohrabyan copes with his duties very well. This is  indisputable," the deputy stressed.It should be noted that recently  in the framework of the hearings organized by the Commission on Human  Rights in the Armenian parliament, transgender Lilit Martirosyan  spoke for the first time from the rostrum of the National Assembly of  the Republic of Armenia who raised the problem of protecting the  rights of the LGBT community in the country. The chairman of the  human rights commission Naira Zohrabyan, who presided over the  meeting, demanded that Martirosyan immediately leave the meeting room  very sharply.The speech of Martirosyan caused a stormy public  response in Armenia. The society was divided into two camps - those  who do not see anything reprehensible in this speech, and those who  consider it unacceptable. On the eve, in front of the Armenian  parliament building, a protest was held in defense of family values,  the organizers and participants of which sharply condemned the  Martirosyan's speech in parliament.It is noteworthy that Zohrabyan  tried to shift the responsibility for inviting the transgender to the  hearing of the deputy from the ruling bloc <My step> Maria  Karapetyan, who, in turn, said that Zohrabyan had the list of  invitees.

Commenting on the current situation, the leader of the "My Step"  bloc, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan defended his party, re-pointing  the arrows on Naira Zohrabyan and the Prosperous Armenia Party: <What  does the PPA complain about? The fact that their representative  signed the list of invitees, passing it to the State Guard Service. I  demanded an explanation from this structure, and they sent me a  written document indicating that the list of citizens was handed over  to Naira Zohrabyan, who signed it, "he said. At the same time, he  considered the behavior of Naira Zohrabyan, who asked from the  transdender hall, to be inadmissible, especially since she heads the  human rights commission. "I think after this the PPA should seriously  think about whether Zohrabyan should remain in the position of head  of the commission for the protection of human rights. Does she at  least meet the minimum standards necessary to be in this position? 

Or the next task is to organize a political provocation against the  "My step" bloc, "Nikol Pashinyan noted.  We also note that today the  delegation of the European Union in Armenia and the embassies of the  EU countries in Armenia in their statement condemned the  manifestations of recent days against the LGBT community, calling on  law enforcement agencies to investigate all these incidents.
