ArmInfo.Armenian media and the Internet segment need not civilian regulation, but control. ArmInfo President of Yerevan Press Club Boris Navasardian expressed this  opinion.At the last meeting of the government, Prime Minister Nikol  Pashinyan ordered the director of the National Security Service Artur  Vanetsyan to begin the fight against manipulation and fake  information in the media and social networks.

Already on April 7,  Vanetsyan announced the arrest of a famous fake who appears on  Facebook on the page , OpenSociety calling for  violence."In my opinion, concrete, targeted steps are needed in this  direction, a clear state policy in the media sphere is needed. 

This policy should be based on two fundamental principles: the  absence of any state proclivities on freedom of speech, and  transparency of funding and media ownership. These principles imply  package , legislative decisions and serious work ", - the expert  believes.Navasardian is convinced that the practice of the recent  past in this area should not be repeated, when laws that in one way  or another affect the activities of the media were considered and  applied separately. In his opinion, a conceptual and comprehensive  approach is needed in the direction of state regulation of the  media.According to Navasardian, transparency in the issue of owners  and media revenues is unable to provide a complete solution to the  problem, however, this will lead to increased responsibility for the  information disseminated by these media. In other words, it will  contribute to the emergence of a more civilized and, most  importantly, professional media field.

"And finally, it is necessary to ensure the labor rights of  journalists. It is very difficult to talk about professional  integrity, the dignity of a journalist who receives money in  envelopes and does not have an employment contract with the media.  Such a journalist is ready to fulfill any order and order of the  employer. , by political manipulation. An employment contract is the  shortest way to curb such unpleasant phenomena. That is why I see the  need only in a comprehensive solution many problems of our media  sphere ", summed up the head of the Yerevan Press Club.
