ArmInfo. Armenian President Armen Sarkissian, who is on a visit to Portugal, met with the Prime Minister of this country, Antonio Costa.
The press office of the head of Armenia told ArmInfo that the interlocutors exchanged views on the prospects for cooperation. In this regard, Sarkissian expressed his conviction that there is a serious potential for cooperation in such areas as education and science, proposing to explore the possibilities of implementing joint projects in these areas.
Noting that he was informed about the construction by Portugal of a satellite to be launched into space, Sarkisian noted that Armenia is ready to share its experience and scientific knowledge in this field, which are still known from Soviet times.
The interlocutors agreed that there is a serious potential for cooperation in such areas as information technology, natural sciences, artificial intelligence and tourism. The parties also discussed the possibility of establishing direct flights between Armenia and Portugal.
