We are one of those few nations of the world who can clearly state that even though we are a small state, we are a world nation, "the President of Armenia said in his address to the Armenian community, reminding all Armenians of the obligation to serve their homeland, proudly noting that the Armenian the community of Jordan is fully integrated into the life of the country.
"In all of our communities, our compatriots should follow the example of the great poet, singer and composer Charles Aznavour, who always said that he is 100% Armenian and 100% French," the president said. According to him, this is the model that should live in every Armenian of the Diaspora. <To be 100% Jordanian and fully involved in the political, economic, cultural life of this country and at the same time be 100% Armenian. At the same time, he noted that the royal family of Jordan has always historically supported and showed a warm attitude towards the Armenian people, stressing that a warm meeting with Jordan's King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein Al- Hashimi testifies to this.
<We discussed the history of our two peoples and the relations of two states, noting that we have great potential in various fields. Our countries have much in common, not having such rich natural resources, Armenia and Jordan attach importance and value human resource, " Sarkissian said.
The President of Armenia stressed that in the 21st century the greatest value will be a creative person, who is an Armenian.
"I am sure that the 21st century will be our century, because we are a creative people, our path is the path of the power of thought, the value of thought," he said.
The President also informed the Jordanian Armenians that he had invited the King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to visit Armenia.
