ArmInfo.Armenian President Armen Sargsyan will leave on April 5 for a working visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to attend the World Economic Forum meeting in Jordan.A conference of the World Economic Forum devoted to the Middle East and North Africa will be held in Amman, the capital of Jordan, from 5 to 7 April. President Sargsyan has been invited to the meeting as a speaker.
The meeting of the World Economic Forum was organized with the support of the King of the Jordanian kingdom Abdullah II Ibn al-Hussein al-Hashim and Queen Raniya al-Abdullah.The meeting will be attended by over 1,000 leaders representing government, business and civil society from different countries to discuss the challenges that the region faces.In particular, the meeting participants will discuss issues of energy security, the use of clean and renewable energy sources, cyber security and a number of other issues.The president's speech will be held as part of the New Energy for the Middle East discussion.
Sargsyan will also meet with the founder and executive president of the World Economic Forum, the renowned economist Klaus Schwab.It should be noted that Armen Sargsyan is one of the perennial participants of the forum and has a long-standing friendship with Klaus Schwab.During his visit to Jordan, Sargsyan will meet with the country's top leadership, as well as with representatives of the business community and the local Armenian community.
