ArmInfo. Artur Vanetsyan, Director of the National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia, did not comment on the decision of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to dismiss Vanetyan's mother Margarit Azaryan, from the post of head of the personnel department and personnel management.
On April 4, after the government meeting, answering the question of whether this decision can be viewed as a step directed against him, Arthur Vanetsyan stated that his mother, Margarit Azaryan, was dismissed from her post at her own will. "But I don't want to discuss it, since the decisions of the Prime Minister are not negotiable, but are being implemented," he said.
Artur Vanetsyan also did not comment on the words of the press secretary of the Prime Minister.
"I have no desire to comment in any way on the words of the press secretary of the head of the Cabinet of Ministers. Let's not personalize the process - my mother worked in the state system for many years, even when I was a schoolboy, she continued working in the state system and then when I was already appointed director of the National Security Service. I ask you not to link my work with the work of my mother, "the head of the National Security Service emphasized.
To recall, Margarit Azaryan was dismissed on April 2. On the same day, Alexander Mkhitaryan, who was in charge of the protocol of the Prime Minister's office and Artur Sargsyan, who was the first deputy head of the Executive Office's staff, were dismissed from office.
As the press secretary of the Prime Minister of Armenia, Vladimir Karapetyan, told "Azatutyun Radio", the reason for the dismissal was in the "improper implementation of the instructions of the Prime Minister".
