The President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian said this  during a working visit to Artsakh in the village of Talish at a  meeting with soldiers and liberators who took part in the April war.

Before the meeting with the liberators, Sarkissian, accompanied by  the NKR President Bako Sahakyan in Talish, laid a wreath at the  memorial complex.

At the meeting with the participants of the April War Sarkissian in  particular, said: "I came to lay my head in front of you and say that  I am proud of you, I am proud that the soldiers of the victorious  Armenian army are sitting in front of me. But today I came not only  to speak, but also listen. The words of the soldiers and officers who  were on the front line are very important to me, "said the President  of Armenia.  At the same time, the head of Armenia stressed that the  April war had become a serious test, although no one better than the  military could assess these events.

Sarkissian also stressed that in Talish he feels an all-Armenian  presence. "Talish belongs not only to Talish people, Talish belongs  to all of us, to all Armenian people," he concluded.  To note, the  border Talish suffered most of all during the four-day April war of  2016. Today, village rehabilitation and relocation projects are being  carried out, since the majority of Talish residents were forced to  leave their homes during the fighting. The Azerbaijani military  demonstrated unprecedented cruelty during the fighting and did not  even spare the elderly. Then, the Azerbaijani military in Talish  mutilated an elderly couple who had not left their home.
