The founder of the party, Raffi Hovhannisyan, was not promoted to the management of the new party and will remain an ordinary member.According to the press service of the party, in the framework of the Congress, elections were held for new candidates to the Board of the party, as well as members of the statutory and auditing commissions.
The resolution of the 12th congress of the "Heritage" party was unanimously adopted, according to which a democratica revolution in form, content and procedure, but the consolidation of a legally-political package leading to real democracy has not yet been achieved. The potential danger of the materialization of the super-party power emanating from the past was emphasized, and it was decided to continue work in the name of a truly free, independent and fair, civilized Armenia.The new party's Board of Directors includes: economists Gagik Margaryan, Rstun Martirosyan, researchers, Stepan Vardanyan and Nubar Hakobyan, educators Andranik Grigoryan, Marianna Voskanyan, Hayk Gasparyan, Mary Matevosyan and Areg Mkrtchyan, philologist, literary scholar, literary scholars Hasmik Avetisyan, journalist Vanik Aleksanyan and engineer Armenak Stepanyan.Vice-President Susanna Muradyan presented a brief report reflecting the work of the Board in the interim period.
Then the Congress heard and approved the reports of the chairmen of the statutory and auditing commissions, which were taken into consideration.The issues of the already implemented and future projects of the Heritage Party, the need for calling for a resolution on New Armenia, adopted in 2012, were discussed, as well as issues related to the adoption of new principles and tactics in modern conditions of Armenia.Hovsep Khurshudyan and Andranik Grigoryan presented a draft and statutory amendments to the Congress, which, according to the speakers, are due to socio-political and legal changes taking place in the internal political and foreign policy agendas (membership in the EPP, the transition to parliamentary form of government, etc.) . The party congress approved the package of proposed programs and statutory changes.The first meeting of the new party board was held, during which Andranik Grigoryan was elected chairman of the board, Narine Dilbaryan was elected vice chairman, and Vanik Aleksanyan, board secretary.
