ArmInfo.Members of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly for the Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs on March 29 met with the Prosecutor General of Armenia Artur Davtyan.
The discussion was closed.According to the press service of the parliament, during the meeting they discussed issues of returning amounts to the state budget as a result of disclosing various corruption cases of public and public interest, as well as reforms in the prosecutor's office and the legal system as a whole. Special attention was paid to the investigation of the case on March 1, 2008 and a number of other cases.The Attorney General provided information regarding the construction of the North-South highway and the operation of Amulsar.During the debates, members of the commission addressed the Attorney General with numerous questions, both on specific cases, corruption scandals related to the names of various former officials, and measures and tasks to increase public confidence in the prosecution system.
