ArmInfo.If in the case of the terrorist attack in the Armenian parliament on October 27, 1999, new circumstances appear, than can be reopening of case. Prosecutor General of Armenia Artur Davtyan stated this on March 29 in an interview with journalists.
"I have already mentioned several times that it is possible reopening the case only if new and reliable facts appear. If someone is aware of new facts, then we ask to inform us about it," the prosecutor general stressed, while noting that If there is any new information on this case, its authenticity will be carefully checked. "If it is confirmed, the case will be resumed," the Attorney General summed up.
To note, the other day the former Deputy Defense Minister Vahan Shirkhanyan delivered an open letter in which he indirectly accused the second President Robert Kocharyan of the terrorist attack in the Armenian parliament on October 27, 1999. Subsequently, another former minister of defense, Andranik Kocharyan, who now holds the position of head of the parliamentary commission on defense, national security and internal affairs, stated that he also has certain information and is ready to share it.
To recall, during the terrorist attack on October 27, 1999, the Prime Minister, the Speaker, ministers and deputies were killed. The leader of the terrorists and his accomplices were sentenced to life imprisonment.
