ArmInfo. In the investigation department of Malatia-Sebastia, the Investigative Committee of Armenia opened a criminal case against employees of the Yerevan Municipality on the fact of collecting illegal funds from private entrepreneurs trading in one of Yerevan markets. In order to prepare materials in the criminal procedure, the case was sent from the RA Prosecutor's Office to the Malatia department of the Yerevan Police Department.
During the preparation of the materials, evidence was obtained that in order to sell food and alcohol in the agricultural market, located on Raffi Street in Yerevan, 9 private entrepreneurs from 2015 to 2018, at different periods of their activities, annually gave the staff members of the staff of the Malatia-Sebastia administrative region, the cash amount from 41 thousand drams to 86 thousand drams, which, however, were not transferred to the budget. As a result of the operational search activities undertaken by the Malatia Department of the Yerevan Police Department, it turned out that two specialists of the trade and service department of the office of the head of the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district received fees.
Considering that the prepared materials contain data containing signs of a crime of illegal remuneration to a public servant who is not an official, a criminal case has been initiated in the Prosecutor's Office of the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district on the grounds of part 1 of Article 3111 of the RA Criminal Code.
The preliminary investigation was entrusted to the investigative department of the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district of the Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
