ArmInfo. The Regional Council of the Italian Administrative Region of Lazio unanimously approved the bill recognizing the historical fact of the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire.
As reported on the website comunitaarmena.it, the bill was submitted to the regional council tby the Council member Sergio Pirozzi. It expresses complete solidarity with the Armenian people in their struggle for historical justice and in the issue of the protection of human rights.
The publication also recalls that the Council of Lazio became the 136th regional council of Italy, which recognized the Armenian Genocide.
In this regard, the Council of the Armenian community of Rome sent a letter of gratitude to the regional council of the Italian administrative region of Lazio, stressing that this step is a sincere act of truth and solidarity with people who are victims of deportations and brutal murders. The Council of the Armenian community also included Lazio in the list of cities of the "Righteous" in memory of Metz Yeghern.
