ArmInfo.Armenia ranked 116 out of 156 in the ranking of the happiest countries in the world, compiled by the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions  Network. Thus, compared with the year 2018, improving its position by  13 points.

First place in the list was taken by Finland, gaining the maximum  number of points - 7.76. The second and third places were taken by  Denmark (7.6) and Norway (7.55), respectively. Switzerland took 6th  place (7.48), Canada - 9th (7.27), Israel - 13th (7.13), and Germany  - 17th place (6.98). Russia was in 68th place (5.64) between Pakistan  and the Philippines, and, compared with 2018, lost nine positions.

Moldova is at the 71st place (5.53) between Serbia and Libya. Belarus  - on the 81st (5.32) between Malaysia and Greece, Armenia - on the  116th (4.56), Georgia -on the 119th (4.51). Ukraine is in 133rd place  (4.33) between Chad and Ethiopia.

It is noteworthy that in the published list, the highest rating of  all the post-Soviet countries is Uzbekistan, located on the 41st  position (6.17). Closes the list of the happiest countries of South  Sudan - 156th place with an index of 2.83.  When calculating the  level of happiness, experts took into account six factors: GDP per  capita, life expectancy, generosity, social support, as well as  freedom and corruption in terms of their influence on making  important life decisions. Each of these factors was assessed on a  ten-point scale, after which the average score for the country was  derived.  Finland has already become the happiest country in the 2018  ranking. And in 2017, she topped the list of the Danish The Happiness  Research Institute. For the compilation of this rating, estimates  based on the recommendations of the UN and the Organization for  Economic Cooperation and Development, such as unemployment,  inflation, GDP per capita, and citizen satisfaction surveys, were  used.
