The head of the EU mission in this vein noted that at the moment negotiations are being held with the Armenian authorities on the subject of EU assistance in the implementation of 13 priority projects that the Armenian side presented in Brussels. "We are currently discussing the deadlines, since some of the programs presented are long-term, as well as tools of financing, since some of them require the participation of banks and international structures," he said.
In this light, Switalski noted that the level of poverty and unemployment in Armenia is still at a high level, moreover, economic migration continues - the outflow of intelligence. In his opinion, the launch of these projects will help solve the problems that exist today in the country. Regarding the EU plans for 2019, the Ambassador recalled that the European Union will continue to assist the development of SMEs in particular in the field of tourism (in the three Northern regions of the country), the processing sector of agriculture, etc.
