ArmInfo. The Head of the Artsakh Union of Armenian Refugees from Azerbaijan, Sarasar Saryan, met in Yerevan with the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Slovak Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak and discussed the situation of Armenian refugees in Artsakh.
Saryan said that up to 30,000 Armenian refugees live in Artsakh, who are deprived of international assistance also because of the Azerbaijani authorities, who are hindering the visit of representatives of specialized international organizations to Artsakh. According to him, this is discrimination and infringement of the rights of refugees.
Meanwhile, he stressed, Azerbaijan considers the issue of refugees exclusively in the prism of receiving political dividends, evidenced by the fact that the refugees are kept in tent camps for years to use them for propaganda purposes.
Saryan invited Lajcak to visit Artsakh and familiarize himself with the situation of Armenian refugees on the ground.
