ArmInfo. The visit of the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan to Iran demonstrated the impossibility of determining the Armenian-Iranian relations with  other countries. Mikael Zolyan, a deputy of the Armenian parliament  from the My Step bloc, expressed this opinion to ArmInfo.

"The visit demonstrated the importance of Iran as a regional partner  and neighbor for Armenia. And, in my opinion, it was very important  to convey this to Tehran right now. And this message was undoubtedly  perceived correctly in Iran, as evidenced by Iran's the results of  the visit of the Armenian Prime Minister.  Moreover, given Russia's  rather close relations with Iran, it is not necessary to speak in  this light and about any deterioration in Armenian-Russian relations,  "he stressed.In general, Zolyan assesses the results of the visit of  the Armenian Prime Minister to Tehran positively. According to his  forecasts, the communication channels between the leadership of the  two countries established as a result of Pashinyan's visit to Iran  will very soon demonstrate their productivity. In particular, in the  matter of pricing in the case of an increase in the volume of Iranian  gas supplies to Armenia announced by Iranian President Hassan  Rouhani. 

According to the parliamentarian, the gas issue in Armenia is overly  politicized, while, first of all, this should be treated from a  business standpoint."Armenia is a buyer. The presence of competition  in the gas market is based on our interests, respectively, we must  take into account all possible options. Unlike the previous  authorities acting solely in their own narrow group interests, we  will try to reach decisions in the interests of all citizens of our  country. And, of course, we must respect and strictly observe the  agreements and obligations already signed in this area. At the same  time, in the end, the spectrum of relations between Armenia and  Russia is not limited to relations between Armenia and " AZPROMO, "-  he stressed.Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who is visiting  Iran on February 27-28, met with the highest political and spiritual  leadership of the country. The President of the Islamic Republic of  Iran, Hassan Rouhani, expressed his readiness to increase gas  supplies to Armenia in order to expand the electricity for gas barter  between Armenia and Iran. He also expressed readiness to discuss  trilateral cooperation for the export of gas to Georgia, transit  through Armenia. In terms of cooperation in the field of energy, the  parties considered the possibilities of the energy corridor  Iran-Armenia-Georgia-Russia, the transport and logistics from the  Persian Gulf to the Black Sea.
