ArmInfo.Former Armenian Deputy Justice Minister Arpine Hovhannisyan on her Facebook page published an official document - a letter addressed to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on behalf of Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan and Finance Minister Atom Janjughazyan, which refers to the alleged reduction of 10,000 civil servants.
The authors of the document posted on the network cite the following argument as a justification for the mass cuts of state officials: "Even if 10,000 civil servants who do not bring additional product to the country (result, value - Ed. note) become unemployed, the Armenian statehood and the entire public will benefit from it. That is, about 3 million citizens of Armenia. "
As Arpine Hovhannisyan writes, the authors of the document intend to submit to the Prime Minister a comprehensive and exhaustive plan of action in this direction within 10 days, "without taking into account the existing legal regulations". In this regard, Hovhannisyan addresses the government with the following questions: "Is this the position of Nikol Pashinyan and the entire government or only individual members?>
Hovhannisyan asks: "What added value do, for example, those 88 MPs who got into parliament create, thanks to the voice of the people? Are these 10,000 citizens the only serious obstacle to the prosperity of Armenian statehood, economic revolution and economic growth?"
Further, Hovhannisyan notes that the former opposition, which has now come to power, led by Nikol Pashinyan, has always criticized the government earlier because the former government, in its calculations and compiling electoral lists, was guided by the presence of 3 million people in the country.
She further asked the question on what basis the government determines the civil servants who give the additional product, and those who do not. The former Minister of Justice also paid attention to the phrase "not to be bound by legal norms". "Can we consider that this appeal will now extend to all citizens of the republic, or does this only apply to elected representatives of the Armenian establishment?" Said Hovhannisyan, noting: "I wonder what Prime Minister Pashinyan's public response to this document will be, although I know what was his official response>.
The Government and the Ministry of Finance have not yet commented on this leakage of the internal government document.
