Representative of Azerbaijani President accuses Armenia of  exploitation of Azerbaijani natural resources

ArmInfo.During the visit of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs to the region, the position of Azerbaijan on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict was  again brought to their attention. The head of the foreign policy  department of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan, Hikmet  Hajiyev, said this, Trend reports on Monday.

Hajiyev noted that if we pay attention to the conflict resolution process, at present there  are certain complaints from the Armenian side, which is detrimental  to the general spirit of the negotiation process. "We believe that  the international community and the co-chair countries, by making  more active efforts, should ensure the constructive role of Armenia  in the negotiation process. Azerbaijan supports the negotiation  process, and our constructive position is highly appreciated by the  world community," Hajiyev assured. At the same time, he once again  accused Armenia of carrying out allegedly illegal activities in  Nagorno-Karabakh, assuring that this creates serious problems for the  settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. 

According to him, the Armenian side "exploits the natural and mineral  wealth of Azerbaijan, supplying them to world markets." "However, the  Armenian side does not comply with international laws. Based on the  appeal of the Azerbaijani side, the OSCE mission investigating the  facts monitored the occupied territories of Azerbaijan and the  illegal activities of Armenia were confirmed. This illegal activities  of Armenia impede the peaceful resolution of the conflict. Azerbaijan  appeals to international organizations and other states that they  prohibit their businesses and individuals from operating in the  occupied territories of Azerbaijan " , he said, adding that  Azerbaijan will continue to voice this issue at international  platforms.
