ArmInfo. The first president of Karabakh, the second president of Armenia Robert Kocharyan sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of the Artsakh Revival Day.
The statement, published on Kocharyan's Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/presidentrobertkocharyan/ ) in particular, reads: "I believe that this day is more important and significant than it is commonly considered. The Karabakh movement has a key place and role in the history of Armenia, however much many people would try to downplay its role. I am sure that next generations will appreciate it. "
Referring to the internal political situation in Armenia, Kocharyan stressed that people who came to power as a result of internal political and geopolitical upheavals, hit the foundations of the statehood of Armenia and Artsakh. ''They deliberately take steps to undermine national unity, drive a wedge between different sectors of society, to devalue our history and heroes, to weaken the spirit of our victorious army. And it does not matter whether all this is done by advice of external forces, either on the basis of internal ideology or to overcome their own complexes. Anyway, this ultimately leads us to the loss of meaning of victories in the war for Karabakh, to irreversible losses, which will be disastrous for the state. We simply must come to our senses, "the second president of Armenia stressed. Kocharyan noted that the two Armenian states are facing a number of challenges that are becoming more and more urgent day after day." In order to counter them, we need a vision of the country's development and solid unity. Xenophobic statements, the actual revision of national values, disintegration of the state structure and one-sided "peace-loving" foreign policy are destructive for us. It is possible that we will not have the opportunity to overcome the hardest consequences of the actions of several amateurs who turned the country into a field for testing, "concluded the first President of the Artsakh Republic, the second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan.
