ArmInfo.Former Chairman of the State Committee for Urban Development of Armenia Avetik Eloyan has been appointed Advisor to Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan.
According to the Spokesman for the Deputy Prime Minister Vahan Hunanyan, Eloyan will deal with issues of territorial development and infrastructures, urban planning, cadastre and investment programs. Avetik Eloyan served as Chairman of the Committee for Urban Development under the Government of Armenia from June 15, 2018. Eloyan was dismissed from the post of Chairman of the Committee for Urban Development under the Government of Armenia on January 31 by a decision of the Government of Armenia. The reasons for the resignation in the official information posted on the website of the executive body were not reported. However, in an interview with the media, Eloyan, in fact, confirmed the information that the reason for his dismissal was the fact that, contrary to the order of the prime minister, he spent the New Year holidays with his family in the United States. At the same time, Eloyan emphasized that the specialists invited from abroad, whose families are abroad, should be shown indulgence on such issues.
