ArmInfo. Israel's Defense Ministry on Monday allowed Aeronautics Defense Systems (ADS) to supply unmanned aerial aircrafts to an aircraft Azerbaijan.
Earlier, the Israeli Defense Ministry banned the export of Aeronautics Defense Systems drones to Azerbaijan due to suspicions of their use against the Armenian armed forces during an experimental demonstration in Azerbaijan As the Times of Israel informs, on February 4, the company informed the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange that the ban on sales of its Orbiter 1K kamikaze drone to its "central customer 'A'" had ended.
"The Defense Ministry announced to the company that the suspension of its license was immediately canceled. The company can continue to supply the UAV to the aforementioned customer as soon as possible," Aeronautics wrote.
The Defense Ministry later confirmed that it was blocking the export licenses of three senior officials in the company - CEO Amos Matan, deputy CEO Meir Rizmovitch and a third, unnamed, employee - pending a formal hearing. This suspension will remain in effect until a verdict is rendered in the case against them.
The Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) reacted to the decision of the Israeli side, condemning the decision.
Earlier, the Israeli newspaper "Maariv" reported that during an experimental demonstration of UAVs in Azerbaijan, representatives of this country asked the ADS operators to strike at the positions of the Armenian armed forces, ostensibly to demonstrate the capabilities of the kamikaze.
