ArmInfo. On August 12, the first Caspian Economic Forum will take place in the city of Turkmenbashi. 

The forum will be held in the Avaza national tourist zone. As ArmInfo  was told at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Armenia, a decision was  made to establish an organizing committee for the Forum, headed by  the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan,  Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. t is supposed that a day  before the plenary session of the Forum, on August 11, 2019, a  meeting of ministers of the competent authorities responsible for the  implementation of the Agreement between the Caspian governments on  trade and economic cooperation will be organized. 

The agenda comprises the coordination of forms of trade and economic  cooperation, its expansion, issues of practical implementation of the  Agreement In parallel, the ministerial meeting is supposed to  organize a conference of business circles of the Caspian littoral  states, to prepare and agree on a Memorandum of Understanding on the  creation of a Caspian Business Council. According to the plan of the  Forum organizers, the conference will consider the implementation of  joint investment projects and programs; 

There will be an exchange of experience on the creation and  development of special, special, free economic zones; cooperation in  the digital economy; cooperation between regions and cities of States  parties to the Agreement. Issues of creating joint ventures will be  discussed, as well as topics related to national legislation,  standards, rules and statistical information in the trade and  economic sphere.

Delegations of the Caspian states are invited to the Forum, including  government members, heads of ministries and departments of the  economic bloc of the governments of the Caspian states, heads of  diplomatic missions of the Caspian states in the Caspian region,  heads of coastal regions and heads of economic blocs of regional  executive bodies, business representatives, business leaders, engaged  in economic activities or interested in the implementation of  economic activity in the Caspian Sea, the representatives of the  banking sector, scientists. Delegations of interested states,  primarily close to the Caspian region, and international economic and  financial organizations are also invited to the Forum.  During the  Forum, an important place will be given to creating conditions for  major projects in the region, a discussion will be held on the role  of the economy of the Caspian region in a global context, investment  attractiveness in the fields of industry, energy, agriculture, trade,  tourism and other industries of the Caspian littoral states of mutual  interest .The forum consists of three parts - the International  Conference, the Caspian Exhibition of Innovative Technologies and the  legal-contractual part. 

Recall that the leaders of five countries - Russia, Azerbaijan, Iran,  Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, on August 12, 2018 in Aktau signed a  convention on the legal status of the Caspian Sea, which was carried  out over 20 years.  At the summit, an agreement was signed between  the governments of the Caspian littoral states on trade and economic  cooperation.According to RIA Novosti, according to the Convention,  the main surface area of the Caspian remains in the common use of the  parties, and the bottom and the subsoil are divided by neighboring  states into areas by agreement between them on the basis of  international law.  Shipping, fishing, research and construction of  trunk pipelines are carried out according to the rules agreed by the  parties. When implementing large-scale offshore projects, the  environmental factor is mandatory taken into account. The Convention  fixes a provision on preventing the presence of extra-regional powers  in the Caspian Sea, defines five Caspian states responsible for  maintaining maritime security and managing its resources.
