ArmInfo. The ARMENAL plant implements the RUSAL vocational guidance program, which will cover 300 Yerevan schoolchildren. During the 2018-2019 school year, they will be introduced to the production of aluminum foil and its areas of application.
For high school students developed a guided tour of the main production sites. After conducting a safety briefing, plant technologists show students the processes for the production of cast billets, rolled products, cutting and annealing foils, and packaging of finished products.
"Our program is aimed at the future. Its goal is to create an interest in the profession of metallurgist among the younger generation, to help in choosing a university and place of work,", head of the development and training department of ARMENAL Samvel Hakobyan said. The program has already become high school students number 21 and number 77, secondary schools at the Russian-Armenian University and the National Polytechnic University. Chairman of the Youth Council of ARMENAL Vahe Tamazyan held a presentation of the plant for young guests and described the properties of the foil. HR Director Svetlana Leven spoke about the recently concluded plant agreement with the National Polytechnic University of Armenia, where school graduates can acquire specialties demanded by ARMENAL. In conclusion, the schoolchildren examined the exposition of the factory museum and received gifts with the symbols of RUSAL.
