ArmInfo.Yerevan Branch of the Russian University of Economics G.V. Plekhanov will receive 2100 square meters of land free of charge. This decision was made at a government meeting on January 24.
According to the Minister of Economic Development and Investments of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Khachatryan, earlier the government of the country decided to provide the Moscow State University of Economics, Statistics and Informatics with a land plot at 5 Arzumanyan Street, Yerevan, where the school was located. Studies of the state of the school with a total area of 4720 square meters. m., and the cadastral value of 14.7 billion drams, indicated its seismic danger. As a result, it was decided to demolish it and build a new school. However, it became possible to provide, on a gratuitous basis, until July 10, 2023, the Yerevan branch of the Russian Economic University, a 2100 square meter school playground, the remaining areas will be used for their intended purpose.
To note, the branch has been operating in Armenia since 2004. On March 11, 2015, the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia signed an order on the accession of MESI (Moscow State University of Economics, Statistics and Informatics) to the G.V. Plekhanov and, accordingly, the Yerevan branch of MESI were reorganized into the Plekhanov Yerevan branch of the PRUE. The educational services of the university, focused on the international level, are based on the knowledge management system, information and communication technologies, Armenian and Russian state educational and international standards. Education in the Plekhanov Yerevan branch of the PRUE is based on the use of the latest education systems, information computer technologies in combination with traditional methods. Development strategy of the G.V. Plekhanov Yerevan branch of the PRUE is built on the basis of the principle of fully providing each student and scientific-pedagogical worker with educational, educational, methodical and scientific material, as well as the provision of modern material and technical conditions.
