Armenian show business did not respond to call of State Revenue  Committee to declare their income

ArmInfo.For almost half a year, none of the representatives of show business has yet responded to the appeal of the head of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia David  Ananyan to faithfully fulfill his tax obligations. Ananyan said this on January 16 at a press conference.

As early as September 10, 2018, at the meeting with journalists, the  head of the SRC David Ananyan said that in the field of culture, a  culture of tax evasion was formed "perfectly." "For example, we have  our favorite singers and singers, they write and perform patriotic  songs, but so far none of them have submitted a declaration of annual  income," said the chairman of the SRC, stressing that this imperative  is already in operation about 25 years old.

As it turned out, RA People's Artist Tigran Mansuryan is the only  cultural figure who submitted declarations in a timely manner,. "As  of today, none of them has expressed a desire to submit a declaration  of income," the chief tax officer lamented.  At the same time,  Ananyan assured that soon the ministry will find mechanisms to  incline this category of taxpayers to the faithful fulfillment of  their obligations. At the same time, as the head of the SRC stressed,  all actions of the tax service will follow exclusively from the  letter of the law.

To recall, in December last year, the SRC made a statement in which  it called on representatives of show business engaged in  entrepreneurial activities to declare their income. Otherwise, the  tax reminded that illegal business activity can lead to criminal  liability.
