Kazakh Minister of Internal Affairs meets with Armenian Ambassador

Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kalmukhanbet Kassymov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to the Republic of Kazakhstan Gagik Galachyan, reports KAZINFORM with  reference to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of  the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The meeting participants exchanged views on the state and prospects  of Kazakhstani-Armenian cooperation in the fight against crime, the  protection of public order and public security. The parties expressed  their readiness to continue to strengthen bilateral cooperation in  areas of interest. The meeting was held in an atmosphere of mutual  understanding and constructive dialogue, "the statement reads.

To recall, on the night of January 1 in the restaurant "Ancient Rome"  in the city of Karaganda there was a fight. As a result of the  incident, a 23-year-old resident was killed, three more were injured.  The deadly scuffle became a pretext for inciting ethnic hatred and  the spread of misinformation in social networks, since three  Armenians were also involved in a fight on purely domestic soil.
