Minister of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan assured Valery Osipyan of  conducting a fair investigation

ArmInfo. On January 7, the head of the Armenian Police Valery Osipyan held a telephone conversation with the Minister of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan,  Colonel- General Kalmukhanbet Kassymov. This is reported by the press  service of the RA Police.  The interlocutors discussed the details of  the fights and murders in which the Armenians are suspected in  January 1 in the city of Karaganda in Kazakhstan.

Kalmukhanbet Kassymov assured his Armenian counterpart that a fair  investigation would be conducted and all actions within its framework  would be taken in accordance with the law.  The parties also touched  upon the actions organized on January 6 in Karaganda. The head of the  Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan stressed that the protests  were not inter-ethnic in nature, were few and took place under the  control of law enforcement agencies. The Ministry of Internal Affairs  of Kazakhstan controls the situation. The parties also discussed  issues of bilateral cooperation.  On the night of January 1, a fight  took place in the restaurant "Ancient Rome" in the city of Karaganda.  As a result of the incident, a 23-year-old resident was killed, three  more were injured. The deadly scuffle in Kazakhstan has become a  fertile ground for inciting ethnic hatred and the spread of  misinformation. Three Armenians were involved in it. According to the  latest data, 7 people were detained on the fact of fighting and  murder, five of them were arrested. It is known that among them there  is 1 Kazakh, two - Armenians, another Armenian is wanted.
