ArmInfo. 1,140 former servicemen of the Armenian armed forces will receive certificates for improving their living conditions. The decision was taken at the December 27 meeting of the RA government.
In the words of Acting Defense Minister David Tonoyan, we are talking about military personnel who were previously registered in order to get apartments, but demobilized for various reasons. Of the total number of beneficiaries of the program, 326 need better housing conditions in Yerevan. It is envisaged that 5.705 billion drams will be allocated from the Government's Reserve Fund to solve the task. On average, each former soldier will have 5 million drams. The Acting Minister stressed that the cost of housing in Yerevan is somewhat more expensive than in the regions. For this reason, with savings in the regions, apartments will be purchased in the capital of Armenia. Each registered soldier will receive certificates that will give him the right to improve their living conditions.
