ArmInfo. Each council will have public councils in Armenia. At the December 27 sitting, the RA government approved the approximate form of the statute of the state administration bodies.
Presenting the draft decision, the Acting Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Artak Zeynalyan stressed that the creation of public councils under the ministers is aimed at ensuring the participation of civil society in solving the goals and tasks of the ministries. Public councils, which should be specialized and consist of representatives of interested public organizations and the media, are called upon to assist in increasing the effectiveness of the activities of state bodies by submitting proposals and comments on the policies implemented by each ministry. At the same time, the activities of the councils will be carried out on a voluntary basis on a rotational principle. After the decision has been made, within one month, the Prime Minister will submit amendments to the statutes of the ministries for approval. After the statute enters into force, the public councils under the ministers must be formed within a month.
