ArmInfo. Former Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum Institute Hayk Demoyan was appointed Executive Director of the Aurora international humanitarian initiative. This was reported by Demoyan on his page on the Facebook network.
"I am pleased to announce that on November 19, by decision of the executive council of the humanitarian initiative, Aurora was appointed the operational director of the Initiative," Demoyan wrote. Hayk Demoyan is the author of numerous monographs and scientific articlesfull in Armenian, Russian, English and French. From 2011 to 2015, he held the position of Secretary of the State Commission for the Coordination of Events Dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
The international humanitarian initiative "Aurora", created on behalf of all the survivors of the Armenian Genocide and in gratitude to their rescuers, seeks to give modern heroes the opportunity to continue helping people in dire need of humanitarian aid to people around the world, thereby continuing the global baton of good. The Aurora Humanitarian Initiative is a gratitude embodied in action. The initiative is designed for eight years (from 2015 to 2023, in memory of the Armenian Genocide of 1915-1923). It supports and promotes global projects, the creators of which at risk for themselves save the most vulnerable members of our society. This plan is implemented through the programs of the Aurora Humanitarian Initiative: the Aurora Award, the Aurora Dialogues, the Aurora Humanitarian Index, Acknowledgments Projects and the 100 LIVES Initiative. International humanitarian initiative "Aurora"- the philanthropic project of Vartan Gregorian, Nubar Afeyan and Ruben Vardanyan, which has already attracted more than 440 new associates and partners. Aurora is glad to everyone who shares our devotion to humanity. The Aurora Humanitarian Initiative is represented by three organizations: the Aurora Humanitarian Initiative Foundation, Inc.
