ArmInfo. Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan holds a meeting with the participants of the "NerUzh" program (translated from Armenian, "potential" - ed.) on December 19 in Dilijan.
Earlier it was reported that a new "NerUzh" program was launched in Armenia to attract representatives of the Diaspora to the country to implement their business ideas and start-up projects in the country. "The Ministry of Diaspora intends to launch a start-up project for young representatives of the Diaspora at the end of the year. The time has come to announce that we are starting the "NerUzh" program, said the head of the ministry, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, on his Facebook page in a video message, in July. He explained that the program is aimed at attracting young representatives of the Armenian Diaspora at the age of 18-35 years old, who have business ideas or start-up projects, and who are ready and willing to implement them in Armenia. The "NerUzh" program has several goals. "With this program we solve one of the important priorities that we are facing: involving young people who have scientific potential and business ideas in the Armenia-Diaspora bundle to implement them in Armenia and get results. We hope that thanks to such close cooperation between the state and the private sector, we will be able, through such pilot programs, to show the institutional opportunities for young members of the Diaspora to come to Armenia, settle here and start their startup programs, "the minister explained.
As noted on the Minister's page, the Ministry of Diaspora implements this program together with the FAST and IDeA foundations, as well as with the UWC Dilijan and Impact Hub Yerevan. Those representatives of the young generation of the Diaspora who have business ideas can join the "NerUzh" program, win and receive assistance of up to 15 million drams for the realization of their startup in Armenia.
Already on November in this year the government of Armenia allocated 81 million 294 thousand drams to the Ministry of Diaspora for the implementation of the program of youth startups of the Diaspora "NerUzh" ("Potential"). "The money was saved by combining the programs "Diaspora" and "Ari Tun", said Acting Minister of Diaspora of the RA Mkhitar Hayrapetyan.
