ArmInfo. The renewed Republican Party will continue to play its significant role in the political field of Armenia, Deputy Chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia Armen Ashotyan stated it live on his Facebook page.
He noted that the pre-election campaign was intense and exhausting. "I understand that those people who supported us may be somewhat disappointed with the result, but the political struggle is not limited to the National Assembly hall. The RPA will remain at the top of the political field of Armenia, and will be a national, intellectual political force. We have a mission, we will fulfill this mission, wherever we are, on Baghramyan Avenue (parliament building-ed. note), on Melik Adamyan Street (RPA headquarters), at every corner we will be able to raise those issues that concern us, " Ashotyan said.
The RPA Deputy Chairman emphasized that for the party it was very important that about 60,000 people cast their votes to an experienced political force, which expressed its concern, and which has values and principles. "You proved that principled political figures are necessary, that you believe in us, and perhaps you have certain political hopes with us. I am very sorry that there are no political forces in the Armenian parliament that adhere to the national ideology," Ashotyan underlined.
"The political will in Armenia will not weaken, and we, with the participation of our citizens, will not let the new political force enjoy the monopoly pyramid they created," Ashotyan concluded.
