IC: For many years, an employee of the RA Ministry of Defense did not  come to work, serving as driver Serzh Sargsyan`s brother Levon  Sargsyan

ArmInfo. The Investigation Committee of Armenia opened a criminal case on the abuse of official authority and embezzlement on a particularly large scale on the part  of a number of employees of the Armenian Ministry of Defense.

According to the materials of the investigation, for 14 years since  2004, the military policeman-driver N of the platoon of the special  assignment of the Armenian Defense Ministry did not come to work, did  not fulfill his official authority, but received salary, vacation  pay, and resigned on May 17, 2018, also received calculated benefit  in gratitude "for long-term military service", getting the right to  receive a military pension. However, according to the materials of  the investigation, all these years, he actually worked as a driver  for the director of the ''Pyunik'' charity foundation Levon Sargsyan,  who is the elder brother of the third president of Armenia, Serzh  Sargsyan. Meanwhile, officials of the Ministry of Defense of the  Republic of Armenia, on the basis of personal interests, abusing  official powers, did not give a process to this case. In this  connection, a criminal case was initiated; important documents were  confiscated within the framework of the case. The results of the  investigation IC will report later.
