ArmInfo.The representative investigation on the fact of receiving a bribe by the officials of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia ended, the press service of the Investigative Committee reports. According to the source, the head of the 10th department of the inspection and management of small taxpayers of the State Revenue Committee, as well as the deputy head and the inspector of the same department were given a preliminary bribe by extortion and take a bribe in the amount of 1,000,000 AMD
According to the preliminary investigation, the head of the department Suren Eloyan, the deputy head Samson Arakelyan and the inspector Vagharshak Lalayan by prior agreement, met several times with the director of one LLC and accused him of alleged violations in his company. Then, threatening to expose him, Samson Arakelyan agreed with the director of this LLC on receiving a bribe in especially large amounts in the amount of 1.000.000 drams. According to the agreement, on October 22, 2018 Samson Arakelyan in the office met with the owner of this company and take a bribe of 1 million drams from him. After that, Arakelyan called the head of the department Suren Eloyan to confirm the consent of the latter to receive a bribe from the director of the company, however, during a telephone conversation, Arakelyan was caught by officers of the General Directorate on Combating Organized Crime of the RA Police. Thus, the head of the department Suren Eloyan, the deputy head of Samson Arakelyan and the inspector Vagharshak Lalayan are charged under Article 311 of the RA Criminal Code. Arrest was chosen as a preventive measure against the latter.
