ArmInfo. On December 5, the meeting of the Acting Foreign Minister of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov was held on the sidelines of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Milan. The press service of the Foreign Ministry of Armenia reports.
According to the source, the meeting was held with the participation of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs - Igor Popov (Russian Federation), Stefan Visconti (France), Andrew Schaefer (USA) and Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk. According to the press service of the department, the third meeting of the heads of foreign ministries of the two states was also aimed at more detailed acquaintance with the approaches and positions of the parties on the peace process of the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. From this point of view, the discussions were helpful. Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Elmar Mammadyarov agreed to continue meetings in the near future, while maintaining the established format.
Meanwhile, Trend Baku News Agency reports that Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said that negotiations will continue in January. "I believe that the negotiations that took three hours were important and useful from the point of view of an even better understanding of the positions of the parties. It was agreed to continue negotiations in this format in the near future, most likely next month," said the Foreign Minister Azerbaijan said.
