ArmInfo. The rector of Yerevan State Medical University Armen Muradyan discussed issues of cooperation in the educational field with the Russian ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin.
According to the press service of YSMU, Kopyrkin stressed that cooperation between Russia and Armenia is especially affective in the field of education and healthcare. The ambassador noted that he was interested in learning about the cooperation of the medical university with Russian colleagues, and he was eager to do everything possible to develop cooperation.
In turn, the rector of the medical university noted that cooperation between the two countries in this area is developing very actively. Muradyan noted that many YSMU students in Russia have great success and participation in the development of the Russian health care system. The rector also noted that the university has international recognition and the internationalization of programs is one of the important areas of development.
Muradyan noted that the student exchange program is active. The Russian ambassador noted that it is necessary to pay attention to areas that will contribute to the development of the economy, in particular, medical tourism. The YSMU rector once again stressed that the cooperation between Armenia and Russia is carried out in all directions, thanks to which the students have the opportunity to gain the necessary knowledge both in Russia and in Armenia.
