Deputy Minister of Finance of Armenia Arman Poghosyan announced this on December 4 at a meeting with journalists. Today, as the deputy minister pointed out, the field is paying a fixed tax in the form of a patent tax or state fee.
But, if previously there were no appropriate tools for controlling the turnover in the area, today there are necessary solutions, including technical ones, through which one can assess the real scale of income generated in the area. In addition, Armenia plans from January 1, 2020 to completely abandon the patent tax.
With this in mind, as Poghosyan explained, the Ministry of Finance proposes a transition to a tax system based on results. In particular, it is envisaged to tax the gambling business with a fairer tax - income tax. The government also plans to revise the principles of taxation of gains in the framework of this activity, finding that personal incomes are subject to income tax, and the organizer of gambling as a tax agent is responsible for calculating and calculating income tax. To note earlier the Ministry of Finance of Armenia stated that as a result of various tax benefits, the annual tax losses of the state treasury are estimated at 442 billion drams.
