ArmInfo.The preliminary results of 2018 were summed up by the prospects for Eurasian integration, outlined by the head of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Board, Tigran Sargsyan at the plenary session of the EEU International Forum, organized at the National Research University Higher School of Economics together with the EEC.
Priorities of the Russian Presidency in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) bodies in 2018 - eliminating the remaining barriers, exemptions and restrictions, intensifying efforts to create common markets for goods and services, ensuring conditions for the free movement of capital and labor, bringing together monetary and monetary policies of the EAEU member states and the creation of a single financial market in the future, as well as the implementation of a common digital agenda for the Union. "I am confident that the implementation of priorities will increase the effectiveness of our cooperation within the EAEU and solve a number of important tasks, including deepening integration, removing barriers, exemptions and restrictions, overcoming ''underintegration''," he stressed.
Speaking to the students, Tigran Sargsyan noted that among the priorities of the Russian chairmanship is also cooperation in the humanitarian sphere, which is not yet in the mandate of the EEC. However, the Commission, realizing the importance of this trend, attaches particular importance to it. "The EEC pays great attention to work with young people. We are faced with the task of forming the Eurasian elite in the Union countries that would promote the idea of Eurasian integration," Tigran Sargsyan stressed. He said that the Commission attaches great importance to the involvement of the scientific community in the work of the EEC, contacts with leading universities of the EAEU countries have been established. As part of this cooperation, the Chairman of the EEC Board regularly gives lectures to students and young scientists.
An important part of the strategic development of the Union is the creation of large projects in which all EAEU countries would participate. "We want to enter the world market with Eurasian brands - recognizable, jointly released products and new technologies", said the Chairman of the EEC Board.
The formation of a Eurasian jewelry brand, the development of joint digital projects of the Member States, the best of which will be scaled, the prospects for further development of the EAEU are linked to the operation of 14 innovative Eurasian priority technology platforms.
