According to the source, on April 25, 2018 Head of the Yerkir Tsirani Party Zaruhi Postanjyan submitted to the Prosecutor General and the head of the National Security Service information that former President Serzh Sargsyan, former Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan, President Armen Sarkissian and MPs from the RPA party usurped power.
According to the press service of the party, on May 8, the Prosecutor General's Office, harshly violating the law, stated that the report on the crime was not subject to investigation, and the head of the National Security Council left the question without answer.
The decision of the Prosecutor General on the refusal to open a criminal case, on May 23, 2018, was appealed in court. The grounds for initiating a criminal case are the following: falsification of the results of parliamentary elections on May 12, 2007 and usurpation of power by RPA representatives, usurpation of power by Serzh Sargsyan on February 19, 2008, falsification of results of parliamentary elections in 2012, usurpation of power by Serzh Sargsyan in 2013. Moreover, the falsification of the voting results due to changes in the Constitution of December 6, 2015, the falsification of the results of the parliamentary elections of April 2, 2017, the presidential election of Armen Sarkissian on March 2, 2018 by an illegally established body (National Assembly - Ed. note), as well as the election of Minister Serzh Sargsyan by the same illegally created body on April 17, 2018.
